About Mark Burton

Mark Burton is a leading marketing and pricing strategist, an in-demand public speaker, and coauthor of Pricing with Confidence: 10 Ways to Stop Leaving Money on the Table (John Wiley & Sons, 2008).

As co-founder and vice president of consulting at Holden Advisors, Burton is the driving force in developing offering and pricing strategies for the firm’s clients, which include IT outsourcing, semiconductor, financial and business services, and enterprise software companies.

Burton has sixteen years of experience in sales and consulting in the areas of strategic marketing and pricing.  Prior to cofounding and joining Holden Advisors, he was a director at Strategic Pricing Group, where he became known as the architect of a number of groundbreaking solutions to clients’ pricing problems.

Burton writes frequently on the challenges of implementing value-centered pricing strategies, and has published widely in marketing, management, and business journals. His articles have appeared in numerous publications including Marketing Management, The Journal of The Professional Pricing Society, The Journal of Financial Transformation, and Sbusiness.

Over the years, Burton has conducted client workshops and spoken at many Fortune 2000 company events and at B2B marketing conferences. He also codeveloped and leads the Services Pricing Certification program for The Professional Pricing Society.
